The Martin County Quilters, founded by Dori Hawks in 2006, was organized to preserve the
heritage of quilting, be a source of information and inspiration, and in general perpetuate a high
quality of excellence in quilting. The purpose of this organization is to promote knowledge of and
interest in quilts and the art of quilt making in Martin County and surrounding areas and to be of
service to our community.
