There are a number of committees to carry out the work of the Guild. We always can use
more help. Please let us know if there is something you'd like to help with or a particular skill
that would be of use.
Program: To develop and implement programs for each guild meeting.
Way and Means: To develop and implement ways to raise money for the guild's activities.
Charity: To manage activities to produce quilted gifts for the charities we elect to support.
Sunshine and Shadows: To send greetings on birthdays and other significant events to
members.
Travel: To identify and plan trips for guild members.
Public Relations: To provide information about the Guild to the broader Martin County
community, particularly those who might become members.
Holiday Party: To plan food and activities for the December holiday party.
Historian: To document the activities and history of the Guild.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets: To prepare baskets of food for families in need in Martin
County.
House of Refuge: To assist the House of Refuge in the development of displays to make
the public aware of the contribution of women to the House. Activities include monthly
demonstrations of quilting at the House and planning and execution of a quilt to be in the
permanent display at the House and one for use in fund-raising for the House.
