1. Programs:
Sets up and runs the programs for the meetings
2. Membership:
Provides information to prospective members (this might include flyers, membership
form, new member packet), collects dues, publishes a membership directory, staffs the
membership table at the meetings, distributes name badges for visitors and collects
their names, distributes information on making name badges to members.
3. Ways & Means:
Figures out ways to earn money for the guild, including Raffle Quilt, auctions, sales of
purchased items-like coffee mugs or something with the guild logo on in, may even have
fabric re-sales at the guild meetings.
4. Charity Quilts:
Coordinates making and distributing quilts for charitable organizations in the community.
5. Show N Tell:
Helps display what guild members have to show. Have each member participating pick
up a form at the door for the newsletter, minutes, and website.
6. Greeters:
Greet members and visitors at the door for each meeting, answers any questions they
might have and/or directs them to the right desk for sign in.
7. Historian:
Keeps a record of the guild activities, including the first organizational meetings of the
guild. This usually is in the form of a scrapbook with pictures and written summaries.
Also might include any newsletters, membership forms, programs from events.
8. Publicity:
Handles news releases to Newspapers, Radio and TV about guild meetings and activities.
9. Newsletter:
Collects information for a newsletter and distributes the information in the form of an
online or printed monthly newsletter.
12. Webmaster:
Collects info for and maintains the guild website - this person might have an assistant
who collects the info and the webmaster actually does the website.
10. Fair:
Coordinates with the Martin County Fair grounds and organizes the guild booth at the
fair, including set up and take down, sets up a schedule for manning the booth during
the fair. She needs a committee.
11. Sunshine and Shadows:
Sends notes, cards or flowers to members for birthdays, special events or get well and
condolences.
12. Parliamentarian:
Makes sure the meetings are run according to Robert's Rules of Order.
